    Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore elementary and secondary students' perceptions of the future. To this end, a survey of 273 elementary and 300 middle school students in Seoul was conducted. The analyses were processed using the SPSS program. In general, the survey results showed positive predictions for the future of society, i.e., elementary and middle school students said it would be more convenient than it is now. In addition, the survey also showed somewhat negative worries of being more private and lonely in the future. There was no significant difference between elementary and middle school students. Based on these results, it is necessary to emphasize that the direction of education to prepare for the future society will reduce the negative perception of the future and strengthen the capacity of the community and the ability of collaboration to realize human creativity.
